Greece — Where Europe Begins
Greece is a country shaped by contrasts. Few places in Europe carry such a visible weight of history while standing so firmly in the present. From the ruins of ancient civilisations to modern cities. From a country shaped by a deep economic crisis to a fast-growing European economy. From one of Europe’s main points of arrival for refugees and migrants to mass tourism.
The photographs are a mix of portraits and scenic overviews, exploring these contrasts. Placing prosperity and opportunity alongside displacement and uncertainty. Together, they portray a Greece where different histories, cultures and futures meet. A place where Europe begins.
